Sammy Ogunjimi
Sammy Ogunjimi is a visionary leader with a track record of driving organizational growth and fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship. With a relentless commitment to the company’s vision and values, he has consistently driven the Codix brand to new heights of success.
In the early stages of his career, he progressed through various roles within the pharmaceutical sector in the UK, including Territory Manager, Regional Development Manager, and Senior Regional Business Manager at Merck Pharmaceuticals. During his time at Merck, he initiated a Diploma course in Heart Failure Management for Nurses at City University, London, in collaboration with a Heart Failure Nurse Consultant at The London Chest Hospital.
Upon returning to Nigeria, he established Codix Pharma Ltd in 2008 with a focus on providing diagnostic tools and therapeutics for conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease.
As the Group Managing Director, he oversees a diverse portfolio of subsidiary companies across the continent, steering them towards innovation, profitability, and sustainability. He is renowned for his strategic acumen, nurturing an environment of excellence, and building high performance teams. His leadership has propelled Codix to the forefront of the pharmaceutical industry, consistently delivering exceptional results and shareholder value.
In recognition of his contributions to the pharmaceutical industry, he was honored with the title of Pharmacist and Membership of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria in 2017. He currently serves as the Vice President of the Nigerian Representatives of Overseas Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (NIROPHARM). Additionally, he is actively involved in community service and serves on various boards, including an appointment to the Management Board of Olabisi Onabanjo Teaching Hospital (OOUTH) by the Executive Governor of Ogun State Government. He is also a member of the Remo Growth & Development Foundation (RemoGDF), where he leads the Health Directorate, and serves as the Chairman of the Royal Initiative for the Development of Sagamu Community (RIDSCo).
Mary Ogangwu
Mary Ogangwu graduated from the University of Lagos in 2004 with a BSc. (Hons) in Pharmacy. She worked at the Lagos State General Hospital as a pharmacist and later joined Innovative Medical Services (IMS) Hospital, Lekki. Mary completed her MBA at the Lagos Business School in 2011, after which she began her career with Codix Pharma Ltd.
Her diligence and competency earned her the opportunity to feature in various roles, which include, Regulatory Officer, Product/Business Development Manager, Superintendent Pharmacist, Head of Business Development, and (Acting) Managing Director, Codix Healthcare Sierra Leone Ltd. She is an astute professional with extensive experience and knowledge in marketing and has been able to achieve outstanding results for the organizations she has worked with.
Mary is happily married with three daughters.
Enitan Odeyemi
Enitan graduated from Royal Holloway, University of London in 2002 with a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry for Management. He started his career in Pharmaceutical sales as a Medical Sales Representative in 2003 at Merck EMD Pharmaceuticals UK where he rose through the ranks serving in various capacities to become the Key Account Manager. In 2011, he moved to Bristol Myers Squibb Pharmaceuticals UK as a therapy account specialist (virology). In 2014, he joined the Roche Oncology Team where he served as regional account manager and then brand Lead in Amgen UK.
Enitan has extensive sales and marketing experience in Oncology, Dermatology, Neurology, Nephrology, Endocrinology, Virology, Cardiometabolic and medical devices, and has led an impressive career in a variety of roles in sales, marketing, market access and development within the biotech, medical devices, and biopharmaceutical space. He has won several pharmaceutical industry awards including Rep of the year, Account of the Year UK/EU, Pharma times UK best Regional Innovation Award and the prestigious Chairman’s Circle Award.
In 2021, Enitan moved to Nigeria and joined Codix Pharma Ltd (after a brief stint with the company in 2012) as the Head of Sales. He plays a major role in achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully managing the sales team, designing, and implementing strategic sales plans that expand the company’s customer base and revenue while ensuring its strong presence in the market. He is a PRINCE2 Certified practitioner, Associate of Chartered institute of Marketing (Professional Diploma), British school of computing (BSC) ISEB foundation certified in Business Analysis, and a certified member of ABPI (Association of British Pharmaceutical industry).
Enitan is happily married with children.
